HELLO 2G ! Here's some information on class chalet. :)

CLASS CHALET DETAILS

Timeplan - 2 days, 1 night

DAY ONE
9am - Everyone will meet at KHATIB MRT STATION and will proceed to Jurong East Mrt Station. 10mins walk to Science Centre.
10am - Reach SCIENCE CENTRE*.
11.30am - We will go to SNOW CITY* (play for 1 hour).
12.30pm - Eat LUNCH. After that we'll take mrt (green line) to PASIR RIS MRT.
2pm - Board SHUTTLE BUS (outside Mrt Station) which will arrive at 2.15pm.
3pm - CHECK IN to Chalet.
3 to 5pm - FREE TIME.
5pm - GAMES.
6pm - BBQ will start.
9pm - WATER GAMES.
After the games then we'll go bathe. It will be FREE TIME from then onwards.

DAY TWO
8am - WAKE UP and everyone will eat their BREAKFAST.
10am - CHECK OUT.
10am onwards - CO MEMBERS will leave for their practice and others can go KBOX*.

*These are suggested places to go as Escape Theme Park is closed on that day. If there's any other suggestion on places to go, please inform JiaEe or Xunlin. :)

Attire

DAY ONE
Shirt, long pants (jeans etc), socks and sneakers. We will be going to SNOW CITY afterwards so these are their requirements. If not, we'll not be allowed in. :)
DAY TWO
Random.

Items to bring
Please do not bring too much things cause we'll be travelling around (science centre + snow city) before we check into the chalet. So it will be rather inconvenient. :)

1 SET OF CLOTHES minimum.
$25 minimum ($16 for Snow City + Science Centre and others for own expenses)

people , i know only quite a few of you come to this blog now . but i have something to say . (god , i sound so stupidly serious here , lol) we'll be 2G next year , 2009 . so should we change the blog url , or simply create a new blog ? haas , i'm kinda fine with anything uh ?

(i'm trying to be less serious , LOL) don't you think that we're very not organised ? class outings , only less than 10 people everytime . & always these few people . some people just stay in their own cliques , then 1 person didn't go , whole clique don't go . a class isn't supposed to be like that . we weren't like that during the start of the year . when everybody so enthu about the CNY deco competition , so enthu about everything . kinda disappointed now . the last time everybody stayed as a class & so bonded , is at the family day bazaar . welfare head is trying very hard to organise a outing , in the end ? failed . somemore failed at the last minute , when everybody can happily go out together . reason ? not enough people . you're not the organiser , & you don't know anything . try to put yourself in his shoes , yeah ?

SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN, OR NOT?!

1G-ians (or shld i call 2G liao... anyway) Everybody knows that Christmas is coming, that means Santa Claus is too coming... But think about it after you look thru this LOL post....

1. No known species of reindeer can fly. BUT there are 300,000 species of living organisms yet to be classified, and while most of these are insects and germs, this does not COMPLETELY rule out flying reindeer which only Santa has ever seen.

2. There are 2 billion children (persons under 18) in the world. BUT since Santa doesn’t (appear to) handle the Muslim, Hindu, Jewish and Buddhist children, that reduces the workload to 15% of the total - 378 million according to Population Reference Bureau. At an average (census)rate of 3.5 children per household, that’s 91.8 million homes. One presumes there’s at least one good child in each.

3. Santa has 31 hours of Christmas to work with, thanks to the different time zones and the rotation of the earth, assuming he travels east to west (which seems logical). This works out to 822.6 visits per second. This is to say that for each Christian household with good children, Santa has 1/1000th of a second to park, hop out of the sleigh, jump down the chimney, fill the stockings, distribute the remaining presents under the tree, eat whatever snacks have been left, get back up the chimney, get back into the sleigh and move on to the next house. Assuming that each of these 91.8 million stops are evenly distributed around the earth (which, of course, we know to be false but for the purposes of our calculations we will accept), we are now talking about .78 miles per household, a total trip of 75-1/2 million miles, not counting stops to do what most of us must do at least once every 31 hours, plus feeding etc.This means that Santa’s sleigh is moving at 650 miles per second, 3,000 times the speed of sound. For purposes of comparison, the fastest man- made vehicle on earth, the Ulysses space probe, moves at a poky 27.4 miles per second - a conventional reindeer can run, tops, 15 miles per hour.

4. The payload on the sleigh adds another interesting element. Assuming that each child gets nothing more than a medium-sized lego set (2 pounds), the sleigh is carrying 321,300 tons, not counting Santa, who is invariably described as overweight. On land, conventional reindeer can pull no more than 300 pounds. Even granting that “flying reindeer” (see point #1) could pull TEN TIMES the normal anoint, we cannot do the job with eight, or even nine. We need 214,200 reindeer. This increases the payload - not even counting the weight of the sleigh - to 353,430 tons. Again, for comparison - this is four times the weight of the Queen Elizabeth.

5. 353,000 tons traveling at 650 miles per second creates enormous air resistance - this will heat the reindeer up in the same fashion as spacecrafts re-entering the earth’s atmosphere. The lead pair of reindeer will absorb 14.3 QUINTILLION joules of energy. Per second. Each. In short, they will burst into flame almost instantaneously, exposing the reindeer behind them, and create deafening sonic booms in their wake.The entire reindeer team will be vaporized within 4.26 thousandths of a second. Santa, meanwhile, will be subjected to centrifugal forces 17,500.06 times greater than gravity. A 250-pound Santa (which seems ludicrously slim)would be pinned to the back of his sleigh by 4,315,015 pounds of force.In conclusion—
If Santa ever DID deliver presents on Christmas Eve, he’s dead now.

as for th class tee ,
i know some people wanted it to be 2G 09 on it
so that it can cut cost or whatever .
but after i think for awhile i think its better to be 1G 08 .
okay , here are th reasons :

1st : since we are going to wear this tee on occasions which we can wear , we should be known as 1G instead of 2G this year .

2nd : anyway , from experience , th first class tee is often not that nicely done . so to play safe , we should make 1G first . (in case) if we made a not so nice 2G tee , we're gonna wear it for th whole next year , you wouldn't want that to happen right ? okaylar , not that th class tee design or supplier or colour or whatever isn't nice lar . just that maybe we'll have a better design next year .

3rd : this year is 2008 right ? although there's only barely half a year left . so i think one 1G is more suitable .

if all of you think is actually alright ,
then please bring $17 tomorrow & hand it to YOU WAI ?
